I didn't see this coming and I'm sure Donald J. Trump didn't either. Thank you Jamie Raskin.

Raskin just revealed that Trump owes taxes on his $1,776,000,000 slush fund settlement with himself. Has anyone started a GoFundMe for poor Donald?

Correct. The judge in the IRS case was never presented with this as a settlement, nor did he recognize it. thesquanderer May 22 #18

2. Trump's IRS immunity deal:

From AP article at link: 'Trump immunity from IRS audit shocks experts, who warn it could undermine trust in tax system'

"Under the settlement to resolve Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit over the 2018 leak of his tax returns to The New York Times, the U.S. is 'forever barred and precluded' from examining or prosecuting Trump, his sons and the Trump Organization’s current tax filings, according to a one-page document released Tuesday. That was quietly added to an original settlement establishing a $1.8 billion fund to compensate people whom Trump thinks were improperly investigated by the government."

"Tax experts say this grant of immunity is shocking in the breadth of protection it offers the president and could undermine confidence in the fairness of the tax system."

“ 'This is an unprecedented remedy,' said former IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel, noting that Trump should be treated like every other American. 'People expect the same tax rules and enforcement framework to apply to everybody.' "

I hope this immunity IRS agreement from audits and prosecution probably only applies to his current, not future taxes.

....who mangled the police and tore up and ransacked the Capitol.

Surely the courts would recognize their requisite standing of these police officers to file this suit.

Rest assured The Mango Tyrant will appeal and appeal up to the USSC in the hopes to get the case thrown out.

Hopefully a multitude of other cases will be filed to stop this payoff to the J/6 insurrectionists who never should have been pardoned let alone paid millions $$$$$$ of taxpayer dollars for their crimes.

Oh, he will find some way to get it into a friendly forum.
I have no confidence of a fair outcome when he owns both sets of lawyers and also the judge.

They want to destroy the framework that makes our standard of living possible and eroding trust in the IRS goes a long way toward that.
