Last night I saw my life in 8 minutes

The joy of community within the liberal base.. My generation has its issues like all generations do...but we were blessed with underlying community even in hard and sad times..

I have no reason to watch anything on CBS any longer. May they die in obscurity.

Steven has a good voice too. That was an example of why Trump gets so upset about
Mr. Colbert because he is smart, kind, and talented and like President Obama they are
@ a level aTrump could never be.

Why did so many Baby Boomers betray what we fought for and move to the right? I think it happened with Reagan. They just don't want those that need help to get it if those in need don't look like them. Disgusting.

The hippie/progressive/open-hearted Boomers did their bit and planted the seeds that are going to sprout in the wreckage left behind when the empire wrought by their conservative/selfish/fearful Boomer brethren (and sisters) collapses and dies.

Setting one generation against the other is reactionary. Wealthy white people live longer, and have easier access to the polls. Wealthy white people vote Republican. Many of my friends are dead. They were all left wingers. Most "boomers" I know or knew took care of their parents, their adult children and their grandchildren. Many struggle along now on Social Security. Many seniors are still working.

93% of Black "boomers" voted for Harris.

In the 60s when people said "don't trust anyone over 30" I called them out on that. The same principle applies today.

Blaming "boomers" is just lazy. By the way, can we ever retire that stupid word "boomer?"

And if we're going to point fingers, GenX (mine) played a large role in we're at today.

Just like not all the young picked up our cry for justice.
We are still here but very weary.
I have been protesting and speaking up since 1967 and will continue.

I'm so very tired but can not rest.

"A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift Of All!", DVD has Elvis Costello with a major part.
Shocker. It was released in 2008.
Back then Colbert had a thing about bears.

So many happy memories.
