Is there ANYONE of any importance in the Trump regime who's truly competent?

I was reminded of this again by Swede's thread on Kash Patel - https://www.democraticunderground.com/100221181640 - and realized that I couldn't think of a single important member of the administration who would be considered competent in normal times.

Competence is not allowed because competence would speak unwelcome truths. The Dotard is constantly at war with reality.

I mean yeah, he works for the park service and not Trump but I expect he's level expert at cleanup behind that disgusting filth of a human. I'm told they make about $35 an hour and that just doesn't seem like enough money for that kind of a job.

But he is too busy wearing clown shoes and hoping his subservience pays off in 2028.

As Secretary of State, it was his job to stop Trump doing something stupid or insane. He failed.

One thing to understand about Rubio is that he often completely misses the main point of some issue because he is focused on partisan gain.

"Let’s dispel once and for all with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn’t know what he’s doing. He knows exactly what he’s doing."

One way or the other, every accusation is a confession with these people.

I don't think he ever had any intention of being some soft, friendly check on Trump. He sees this as his path to the Presidency and he wants to try to keep the cult on for the ride if he gets a chance to drive.

absolute slobbering loyalty to Trump and only Trump is the requisite currency...he surrounds himself with grifters, self dealers, bored billionaires, ex-cons, drunks, abusers, idiot Fox bloviators, Russian assets, adulterers, Nazi acolytes, toadies, white supremacists....

Marco Rubio may have been semi-competent once, but now he's nothing more than Trump's court jester, echoing Trump delusional bullshit and kissing Trump's fat ass..

This bothers myself also. The Trump reality is scaring the populace

From a National pole.
Public fear and concern regarding nuclear weapons have increased significantly, driven by geopolitical tensions. Studies show over 50% of Americans believe the risk of nuclear war is higher than a decade ago, with many expressing increased anxiety about potential nuclear use.
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

Growing Anxiety: A 2026 survey found 69% of U.S. adults were "extremely or somewhat concerned" about nuclear war, the highest level since 2018.

That MF has to go.

He was foiled throughout his first term by "the institutions holding" which mostly meant people still insisted on following the rules for the most part.

So most of his first term the time in-between, and the setup of his second term was really all about making sure no one would be in a position to stand in his way of cheating and just doing whatever the hell he wants.

Which, for the most part, means putting decidedly incompetent people anywhere a competent person would use their power to enforce -- well, anything -- against Donnie.
