I've always wondered (like lots of other folks!) "Why Didn't the Germans just get rid of the guy?"

Now we know.
Millions and millions and millions of us right now can't even figure out a path.
And we have to get on with our kids, our jobs, our mortgages, our relationships, our medical issues and everything else....JUST LIKE THE GERMANS DID.

The huge problem is, just like the Germans found out, (and the Romans and the Ottomans and others) NATIONS HAVE KARMA TOO.

The universe does not carry debts. It always balances the scales.

History is repeating itself and the USA is the current receipt of an insane dictator!

I also keep thinking of the Sinclair Lewis book It can’t happen here!

Decent movie. Three other officers were executed with von Stauffenberg.

Same with detention centers/concentration camps,

I bet they never started out as something bad.

Minneapolis did us proud. They set an example for the rest of us. They documented the truth and got it out to the public against the administration's blatant lies. They helped targeted people with food, medicine, water, rent payments, whistle warnings.

And when the next national No Kings protest took place, over 8 million Americans showed up.

by the Allies bombing the ever living shit out of the Axis including nuclear weapons. The Allies committed war crimes as part of their effort to defeat the Nazis/fascists. Once the Nazi/fascist weed takes hold, it's extremely difficult to remove. If electoral solutions do not succeed, than other less pleasant means may be necessary.

we are far into the process of repeating the things Germany did back then. Scapegoating entire ethnic groups. Declaring some people are not "real Germans" and are ruining German culture. Making some people feel powerful and tough about stepping on others. etc.

I spent twelve years in the FRG. We lived off post.I met many ex-nazis. They were all alcoholics. Regrets from the war. One of them I met was an engineer. He worked on the tiger's automatic transmission then he worked on the me 262. They didn't know about the death camps until Ike took them on tours and they stood at the open Mass Graves full of emaciated bodies. The camps didn't burn all of them. Visiting Dauchau. I saw the photos of the victims of medical experimentation. I do believe that scarred me for life. I was 10 years old. Not everybody in the army was a Nazi. But they were all Christian nationalists.
