Trump and his allies are not telling the same story as the Iranians about the recently agreed-upon ceasefire deal, according to a new report.
Trump announced on Truth Social that the U.S. and Iran had agreed to a two-week ceasefire as they negotiate the end to the war in Iran. Few details about the agreement have been released. Meanwhile, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday night that the Iranian government appears to be trying to dupe the Trump administration over a requirement for Iran to cease its uranium enrichment program.
"Iran in the Farsi-language version of its 10-point ceasefire plan included the phrase 'acceptance of enrichment' for its nuclear program, something that was missing in English versions shared by Iranian diplomats to journalists," the AP reported. "It wasnt immediately clear why that term was missing."

(26,253 posts)Far worse than anyone predicted on day one. It is frankly humiliating.
Iran will have weathered regime change intact, gained control of the Strait. Strengthened ties to Russia while using their technology to prove it can take out our jets. Iran gave up nothing. Sure, it lost an 86 year old leader and some missiles, but the gaining control of what used to be International waters is frankly amazing.
