Like I've written, people keep affording Trump the benefit of the doubt. Author D. Earl Stephens seems to agree.
And he goes through lengths explaining exactly who and WHAT he is - for those who need a reminder.
Trump knows exactly what he's doing and that's what makes him dangerous - by D. Earl Stephens - Alternet via MSN
Im not sure why so many feel the need to ascribe dementia to a lifetime malignant narcissist, who has tragically lived his entire nearly 80 years on this planet serving exactly one person: HIMSELF.
Blaming dementia for Trumps inhumane actions comes dangerously close to rendering him a sympathetic victim a guy who has no control over where he goes, what he says, and what he does.
Trump knows exactly what he is doing, people.

(12,276 posts)Thousands of people losing lives for people who already have more money than they could spend in a lifetime. Trump spends our money by the millions, with every golf swing.

(114,045 posts)Yes, he is a documented malignant narcissist with sadistic tendencies--well known.
But, he likewise has evidence of a loss of filter--that which gave him excuse for all kinds of disgusting behavior in the past. That loss of self-filter is, along with many other aspects of his behavior and neurological presentation (gait issues (ataxia), intermittent facial droop and paresis on the right, frequent use of made-up words (or real ones) that sound like another (paraphasia), increasingly simplistic language overall and many other aspects, are not only documented but worsening.
Ignorant? (and willfully so?) Check
Malignant Narcissist? Check
Power obsessed? Check
Sadistic tendencies? Check
Progressive neurological dysfunction? Check
Simplistic cognitive function? Check
Does this mean he is not acting willfully and purposely--at least in general? Hell no. But, there is a lot going on with his pathology beyond him just being a disgusting and willfully nasty human being.
No simplistic dichotomies, please. We are smarter and far more analytic than that--whoever the hell D. Earl Stephens is.

(12,695 posts)A person with dementia doesn't know what he's doing. I think they do know what they are doing, they just can't stop themselves from doing it. The same thing applies to a malignant narcissist. He knows what he's doing he just can't stop himself.

(8,545 posts)that as much as saying that attributing some disease to someone doing precisely what he wants to do, has ALWAYS done, makes him in the minds of some, less... culpable.
Maybe it's simply that he's an evil, hate filled mfkr who gets off on power, hurting people, and making people suffer.
