Ron Johnson (R) weighs in on trump's latest tweet. He sounds a little spooked

Last edited Tue Apr 7, 2026, 04:40 PM - Edit history (1)

"I am hoping and praying that President Trump is, this really is bluster. I do not want to see us start blowing up civilian infrastructure."

Yeah, well there's hoping and praying, Ron, but how about joining with the Dems to DO SOMETHING???

Edited to add that he also said "I do not want to see us start blowing up civilian infrastructure. I do not want to see that. We are not at war with Iranian people. We are trying to liberate them"

or shut down the national power grid.

So tomorrow morning you will start hearing from Johnson and the other ass clowns how Trump showed restraint, will now deploy his deal making Jiu-Jitsu, and has the Ayatollahs -- those that are left -- over a barrel.

Johnson had what appeared to be one brief moment of rational thinking, and dare I say, humanity. Don't expect too many similar moments in the days ahead.

Except Republicans are doing it in the opposite order.
Erasing their own opinions and dignity in pursuit of Trump's approval.
Followed by wishing and hoping that works out.

When will Republicans understand that they own this already?
And they are the only ones who can stop it?

Republican members of Congress celebrated the Fourth of July in Russia

Seven senators — John Kennedy (R-LA), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Steve Daines (R-MT), John Hoeven (R-ND), John Thune (R-SD), Jerry Moran (R-KS), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) — and one House member, Kay Granger (R-TX),

snip

The U.S. intelligence community has been very clear that Russia interfered with the 2016 presidential elections in order to help Trump get elected — and that Russia will probably try again to target the 2018 midterms.

Trump, however, continues to publicly cozy up to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He even insists that we should believe Putin when he says Russia had nothing to do with election meddling.

And while the GOP-led Senate Intelligence Committee quietly released a report this week saying that Trump is wrong, the Republicans “investigating” this issue in the House have loudly backed Trump for months, often using smears and conspiracy theories to do so.

It’s now clearer than ever: the GOP party line is to support Trump no matter what, and to look the other way as Russia actively tries to destroy American democracy.

Hope and pray?!?!? Just remove the mentally insane mother fucker, you idiot, and you wont have to "hope and pray" the POTUS doesn't commit war crimes.

Speechless at what is being allowed to go on in this country....

Democrats should have insisted the boat bombings were illegal and constituted war crimes and demanded all military power be returned to Congress. But here we are instead...

No, that’s what we enlisted Musky and invented DOGE to do here. Infrastructure is for the peons. Our wars of choice redirects away that wasted money on our bridges so we can blow up theirs. And boy will they thank us for it.
