That's all. If we had those on our side, we could impeach Trump today and convict him tomorrow and remove him from office. Simple.
That's all we need.
We do not have that, however. And that's a freaking pity!

(151,338 posts)I'm old, so my counting doesn't work as well as it did. Yes, 20. It's unlikely, of course, but if you have a Republican Senator or two in your state, you might want to contact them and make a case for impeachment and removal. It's worth a shot, at least.

(60,240 posts)If he kicked Melania naked and shivering onto the plane to exile her as an illegal immigrant on the evening news, they would STILL not vote to convict and remove from office. If he tried, by executive order, to replace the American flag with a red flag with a white circle in the middle, and a black swastika in the middle of that, there would STILL not be enough Republican Senators to vote to convict and remove from office.

(60,240 posts)Making the case for Trump's conviction and removal to John Cornyn and Ted Cruz would be less than futile. You would have better luck tossing a titanium office chair off the edge of the Grand Canyon, hoping it would sail a few loops in the breeze and then glide back to you.
