Just look at the unqualified clown at the DOD or the painted imbecile making the orders...I have NO FAITH that the soldiers would disobey orders and 100% confidence that they will only face justice after the fact in The Hague.

The US military is full of yes men, who say what they need to say to keep their jobs
or get promoted.

But when push comes to shove they are not going to face court
martial or go to a Nuremberg trial for the orange f wad.

But he shouldn't be saying these things. Even if a deal gets made at the last minute, this is utter insanity to be threatening genocide by nuke.

He has threatened to destroy their civilization. That can be accomplished without nukes.

Why would he contaminate the land with radioactivity when he wants to get to their oil?

His plan is evil and cruel. That does not automatically mean nukes. It means that he will destroy their water supply and electrical power. In a country of deserts, that is a death sentence to thousands if not millions of people. All possible without nukes.

Chernobyl level or worse.

Doesn't even have to be a bomb.

I have a young niece and nephew in Dubai with my sister and brother-in-law. No one has Iodine tablets.

We have to take the madman at his madness.

we don't generally communicate unless something is going on with our mother.

Yesterday, he replied to my simple Happy Birthday with a comment that HIS president has the balls to use nuclear weapons, unlike "mine", apparently.

Of course, my brother has never been what you'd call smart. He's always had the same superficial charm my father had, able to talk a good game, but seems to have no moral code or even understanding of what that is.

I don’t know that there’s any reason to ever use one but if there is, this isn’t it.

How the Hell would that help anything?

Surely, someone would stop that from happening. Right?

Right?!?!?!?

Trump will use nukes to bomb Iran.

He wants their oil. He wants to control the land and Hormuz himself.

Why would he make it untouchable by contaminating it with radioactivity?

From a Hacker News commenter:
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47676516

Once the First Use Taboo is broached, nuclear explosives will be used for everything. Wherever you have a spare 100kg of payload and a hardened or area target - nuclear explosives, from a weapon effect perspective, are simply too good not to use, once the cat's out of the bag. It'll be like machine guns in the early days of WW1, but with each bullet the most powerful device made by Man.
