Wisconsin spring election Tuesday features Supreme Court race

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Wisconsin’s spring election is Tuesday, with a range of local and judicial offices on the ballot.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court seat is the only statewide race on April 7. Liberal Judge Chris Taylor and conservative Judge Maria Lazar are running to succeed

The candidates are looking to fill a 10-year term to replace conservative Justice Rebecca Bradley, who’s retiring. Liberal justices hold a one-seat majority. With a conservative justice not seeking re-election, the outcome won’t flip control.

Combined spending of both candidates is roughly $6 million compared to $115 million spent to win a Supreme Court seat a year ago, when control of the court was at stake.
