1930s Germany, 1930s Russia, the Taliban, or America Today?

Political dissidents targeted for pre-crimes. The FBI has created a dedicated office for “proactively” tracking potential domestic terrorists motivated by “anti-Americanism, anti-capitalistism, and anti-Christianity,” along with other so-called indicators of political violence identified by federal law enforcement in the infamous NSPM-7 memo last year. Independent reporter Ken Klippenstein found evidence of the office’s existence in the White House’s 2027 budget request, which details how the new NSPM-7 Joint Mission Center is staffed by counterterrorism and anti-crime personnel pulled from 10 different federal agencies.

The new center works to integrate “intelligence, operational support, and financial analysis” in order to “proactively identify” individuals and groups engaged or planning to be engaged in domestic terrorism.

Law enforcement specifically identified social media as a breeding ground for “radicalization and… violence,” suggesting the center is focusing resources toward monitoring the internet.
