lutnick and 9/11 and withheld paychecks. In listening to KO just now,

Last edited Mon Apr 6, 2026, 04:28 PM - Edit history (1)

I ran across this little tidbit that I did not know. That scumbag commerce sec luttnick was president of Cantor Fitzgerald on 9/11, and, initially, refused to issue final paychecks for the 658 employees who were killed that day, nor create any kind of fund for the families. He said the company could not afford it. Eventually he relented, but THAT disgusting refusal was his initial reaction.

The orange messiah sure knows how to pick them!

Lutnik took his kids along to Epstein Island so Jeffrey could scope out the nanny.

He had 2 of them with him on Epstein Island. Because god forbid you should care for your own children.

not to defend Lutnick on visiting Epstein Island - and frankly I thought he made up the whole story in order to hide what he was really doing.

But in terms of 2 nannies, it is not uncommon in that sort of family. He was the head of Cantor Fitzgerald (huge firm in NYC), and his wife was also a partner in a law firm. I know families like this in Houston. The reason for more than one nanny is usually multiple kids, sometimes in different schools, and with multiple activities.

One of his co workers who was a friend of mine died on 9-11 and his family was left destitute. Someone started a fund for them and $500,000 was raised.

All I can say is we need to deal with the billionaire class problem. In my mind, it's the greatest threat we face in rescuing our democracy, and ultimately to our planet's health and our ability to preserve mankind. The largest share of the billionaire class generally lacks empathy for commoners as well as any sense of urgency -- except when it comes to their continued wealth and personal gain. They are guided first and foremost by their greed. They are stunted mentally. And will no doubt fight very hard to preserve everything they've got and hope to get.

More attention needs to be drawn to this. Stories like this one about Luttnick are graphic and emoting. We need to collect, archive and and use them fully.

Frankly, the billionaire class needs to be ruthlessly demonized. I know that sounds frantically crass, but I have a hard time believing democracy or earth as we know it will survive without dealing effectively with the growing wealth inequality issue. It's really about us or them.

CF workers' families were irked when Jerko's suit against American Airlines was mostly distributed among his partners and him instead of the surviving families.

after 9/11 talking about how much he wanted to help families of those killed, blubbering "but we lost everything. Everything is gone." Even then, a part of me assumed that he was out for number one.
