I think Ron Filipkowski is right about CPAC and it couldn't happen to a nicer cult

"CPAC is dead. Totally irrelevant. Yesterday's news. Bye."

Nobody is there. Trump and Jaydee didn't attend. The crowd is so rudderless and brain dead that they applaud the idea of trump's impeachment.

Hard to believe that is was just last year when Elon was there with his chainsaw. What a difference a year makes.

CPAC, Heritage Foundation and Federalist society have been calling the shots for at least 30 years, are we witnessing a changing of the guard?

There's no obvious heir apparent to replace him as (figure)head of the movement, so it's unlikely to remain unified.

It seems to be fragmenting already. Jinglesphincter's incompetence has never been more obvious, the Iran War is not popular among them, and the economic miracle they were promised isn't happening. There are even some - not a majority, but some - who genuinely thought ICE was going to focus on violent criminals and not their neighbors. You can only pretend you're not seeing what you're actually seeing for so long.

There will always be a die-hard core, but parts of the movement will head in different directions.

“Look, this CPAC convention is increasingly the Star Wars bar scene of the conservative movement. I mean all that’s missing at that convention is a couple of Wookiees" - Schmidt on MSNBC

I always changed the channel when CNN or MSNOW insisted on covering it. Just like with trump's voice, it hurt my ears and my brain.

And they're applauding the idea of him being held to account for his crimes which is a value of actual law abiding conservative people. But, the CPAC chairman is a sex abuser like Trump and thinks that the CPAC attendees are stupid lemmings
