What she had does not exactly qualify as “minor surgery,” and constant monitoring for clotting is imperative in the beginning. It sounds like she is getting good care from seasoned professionals, and that is the best news one can hope for from “external” sources. She also has a high will to be live, which is the other necessary half of the equation for recovery, so it sounds like there are solid reasons to be optimistic. Still—don’t plan participation in any marathons for at least the next six weeks.

I was on DU yesterday looking for info on how Peggy is doing. She is in my healing thoughts. Hopefully she will be feeling better and be able to go home. Hospitals are HORRIBLE places to be. I am sure she misses her home and her usual surroundings. Thinking of her several times daily and sending strength for healing and recovery.

I have checked every day for an update, and so grateful that she's doing better. Look forward to California Peggy

Given her age, any surgery can cause problems, so it is a relief that she is improving. I pray that she continues to improve.
