Trump draws backlash for comment on Iran war: 'Maybe we shouldn't even be there'

Gee, ya think, you moron? And I seriously doubt he's in a position to 'demand' anything. Delusional.

Trump draws backlash for comment on Iran war: ‘Maybe we shouldn’t even be there’
President made contradictory comment to reporters on Air Force One after pleading with allies to help US secure Strait of Hormuz

Donald Trump drew a backlash on Sunday for suggesting US efforts to protect the Strait of Hormuz were unnecessary – and that “maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all” because his country has plenty of oil of its own.

“Really, I’m demanding that these countries come in and protect their own territory – because it is their territory,” he said.

“They should come and they should help us protect it. You could make the case that maybe we shouldn’t even be there at all, because we don’t need it. We have a lot of oil. We’re the number one producer anywhere in the world times two.”

Trump received criticism in the early stages of the US and Israel’s three-week war in Iran for failing to convey clear reasons for launching military strikes. He has made a number of antithetical statements since, including telling the UK, which he called a “once great ally”, that its help was not needed in Operation Epic Fury.

His comment on Sunday was similarly questioned in an immediate backlash on social media from critics who accused him of starting an unnecessary war – then demanding others step in to help him end it.

He has been immunized from the Pottery Barn rule his entire life. He made a mess and now expects someone else to clean it up.

What is it going to take? Did he really think everyone in the world should jump when he spouts his b.s. from his demented mind?

a comment recently that made my heart sink further... if his federal sycophants will put on shoes he buys despite them not fitting, who will vote for the 25th?

He doesn't have the ability to think things through any more; his words and actions are almost all done on the spur of the moment.
He lets other people play him; guiding what's left of his thought processes in the direction they want. Unfortunately, his advisors have agenda's that run counter to what the people want and the nation needs.
So, his instant gratification of a big win in Iran isn't going to happen, and the US allies he's been trashing for over a year aren't anxious to bail him out of this deep hole he dug for us there.

He's too far gone to realize that his fantasy of being the greatest leader of all time, and king of the world aren't going to happen. Unfortunately, as long as the republican Congress gives him free reign, no one's going to stop him from trying.
Eventually he'll stop himself.

Last month 22.6% of EU vehicle registrations were EVs, 33.5 were gasoline only. The rest were hybrids.

Germany's electrical supply is 60% renewable now.

They have chosen a smarter path than fighting wars over the oil.

But no, your staff meetings are all about kissing ass and acting tough, so you'd never hear the truth. What a useless excuse for a "president".
