He’s such a sloppy mess that only so much can be done about his appearance. I’ve seen worse looking people live long lives.
I expect he’ll be a pain in the ass for a good while longer.

I suppose it’s good that we lower our expectations to avoid disappointment. Maybe that’ll be key to having our dreams finally come true (or at least cushion us in case of disappointment).
