I'm a simple person, who likes to simplify things.

1) A madman ran for president.

2) This man's history and demeanor clearly showed that he had neither the temperament, nor the qualifications to be president.

3) This man only speaks bullshit. It's not exactly the English language, but to many, how he speaks sounds like the English language. Until you transcribe what he says into the written word. It is only then that it becomes apparent that what he is speaking of is nonsense. Gibberish...that sounds like the English language. To some people.

4) Those who are drawn to talk like this fell in love with this man in a most unreasonable and cult-like manner.

5) This cult-like admiration turned into an actual cult, and worshiped this man as if he were a prophet, or a god.

6) Once in this cult, the cult members chose to ignore, or rationalize, or just write-off what non-cult members view as heinous and immoral acts. Which are in deed and in fact immoral acts.

7) Cult members are now locked into their beliefs. Once this happens, these beliefs are highly unlikely to be relinquished. It's possible, but not likely. They're locked-in, so the more likely scenario is that they double down, rather than admit they are wrong. Because they are all-in now, and people who have gone all-in on something don't like to admit to others that they were wrong, mainly because they can't admit it to themselves.

8) The madman now has a strong minority base that will defend his madness at all costs.

9) The madman captured his first presidential term because he had a significant minority base that is super-charged by an outdated system called the electoral college. A minority base, coupled with the electoral college, put the madman into office. These two factors allowed the madman to capture the presidency, even though he did not win a majority of the popular vote.

10) The madman takes office for his first term.

11) The madman has no significant positive accomplishments during his first term.

12) During his first term, the mad man manages to load the supreme court with judges who share his corrupt ideology.

13) The madman continues his non-sensical bullshit, because he is now enabled by power.

14) The madman changes the trajectory of this country forever because of his ineptness. Most significantly, his response to the Covid pandemic changes the face of this country for future decades. And the true impact of this fallout will not be known for many, many years.

15) As the madman's first term nears an end, he is challenged by his polar opposite. A good and decent man. A proven and capable man.

16) The capable man is elected, and a fog is seemingly lifted. A massive win, via both the popular vote and the electoral college. There is literal dancing in the streets.

17) The capable man performs remarkably.

18) As with the two amazingly capable women who ran against the madman, the capable man is slimed relentlessly. He is lied about. His incredible accomplishments are disregarded and minimized. His brilliant mental acuity is gaslighted in a false and negative manner.

19) The madman runs for a second term. The cumulative effects of years of gaslighting and lies have reared their heads once again. Lather, rinse and repeat.

20) While running for his second term, the madman literally tells you how badly he will fuck up the country if he gets elected. Both via his voice, and via Project 2025.

21) A stupid as fuck multi-billionaire enters the mix. Elon Musk, as well as other stupid as fuck tech bros who despite their stupidity, happen to be richer than God.

22) A combination of things help the madman get "elected" again...short memories, gaslighting, opponent sliming, ignoring the what the madman said he was going to do if he got elected, Project 2025, repeated warnings by an amazingly capable woman because she was a woman and people didn't like her laugh, monetary help from tech bros with nefarious intent (feel free to add your own reason...there's a million of them).

23) Mad man gets elected.

24) Madman goes scorched earth because he knows his time left on this earth is very, very limited and he wants to go out with a bang.

25) He's scorching the earth so badly, that even some the cult members are now screaming I DIDN'T VOTE FOR THIS! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!

26) Madman's loss of sanity escalates.

27) Madman is now not satisfied with destroying that which he has power over. He goes after other countries. Sovereign countries.

28) More people start screaming WHAT TO WE DO?????

29) We all know what to do, but nobody is going to say it. And nobody is going to do it.

He needs to be PHYSICALLY STOPPED in a legal manner by those who have the power to do it. PHYSICALLY AND LEGALLY. But right now, he is firmly in the pockets of those who have the power to do this, because many of them are either in the cult, or too scared to stand up to the madman. They are scared and vulnerable for many reasons which we all speculate on. And now the frog has been boiled, Just like the non-cult members said it would be.

Just like two capable women running against him warned us about. They warned us to our faces, directly and without ambiguity.

And the people who were laughed at when early comparisons to Hitler were made...are not laughing anymore.

And this simplification does not even come close to all of the variables that caused this. Because it's actually very difficult to simplify ALL of the egregious variables that caused these world changing events.

Instead of bands of loosely knit white supremacist crazy people, they have now all been "deputized" to carry out their authoritarian and fascist agenda on the streets and in people's homes, under the protection and authority of the "law". Everyone they don't like is now an immigrant and/or a terrorist in their eyes. No one is really safe. And their leaders are right in the White House, Congress and Senate, so they will continue to lie and create propaganda no matter how absurd, in an attempt to cover it all up in real time. And the compliant media will simply and willfully propagate this propaganda for them.

We need to be able to fight back in every way that we need to, without being labeled as terrorists or insurrectionists ourselves. Trump's government and/or actions should no longer be legally recognized as legitimate because they are not. The constitutional abuses and outright violations coupled with the daily crimes are obvious for all to see, period. The SCOTUS is compromised so their rulings cannot be trusted.

Perhaps a form of secession of states, withholding federal tax payments, states closing their borders to the federal government or a combination thereof? I'm really not sure. But something needs to be done now, because they are not waiting for us.

We are now in a defacto authoritarian dictatorship. Let that sink in.

Well done LC. I like how you distilled the tragedy we are in so clearly. The progression of greed, lies and theft has left America a rotting corpse.
