As in Gen George B McClellan. Lots of great plans, logistics and initiative, but it lacks the ability to put itself into situations where it might get a bloody nose.

There are many Republican voters who do not necessarily like the Republican Party, but f*cking hate the Democratic Party.

It's what they are taught by their parents, peers, and media.

Most Democrats i know are intelligent pragmatic people who don't believe there are simple solutions to complex problems. We're not inclined to use phrases that start with "always" or "never". We tend to be more comfortable with ambiguity, nuance and subjectivity.

And that puts us in stark contrast with a majority of the country who prefer quick sound bites from overly confident people who make declarations out of ignorance and promise impossible achievements.

But maybe we need to think about how to sell our vision in a way that is more definite and resolute.
