ICE and Border Patrol are part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which is currently funded only through January 30.

The new funding bill that's currently being written is our opportunity to put significant restrictions on ICE and ensure it doesn't get a single penny more to enable its brutality.

This bill cannot pass without Dem votes in the Senate, so we have real leverage here. But we need to act fast, and we need to be loud.

When these zealots decide that they will work for free to honor their savior, and they start being even more vicious because there is no further deterrent...

What then? Or, are we thinking that, like some of the other things going on these days, that this won't ever happen?

Where be the Righties railing about government spending run amuck? They seem to like those parts of government that kill people, wage war, attack and imprison people. Basically they like the police state elements of the government. Health care, cancer research? Fuck em.

component is never mentioned. If we are not going to defennd the world order we do not need a world police force, and that military is not donny two scoops private militia. But hey, let's not forget a large part of our military budget is in place to protect our business interests.

Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill" was passed through the reconciliation process, which means it didn't need -- nor did it get -- any Democratic votes.

And ICE was deemed "essential" so it continued to terrorize our nation during the shutdown (https://cbsaustin.com/news/nation-world/does-ice-continue-working-during-government-shutdown-customs-border-protection-kristi-noem-dhs-pay-officers-social-media-rumors).

This is a Democratic Party-supporting website and one that is based in truth, so why would your first thought be to incorrectly blame Democrats for any of this?
