Aside from any internal disagreements at the top, there are three levels along social class lines.
Upper -- Basically a crime syndicate, with ideological cover.
Middle -- Middle class people who misidentify their interests with the ruling class.
Lower -- Religious fundamentalist types whose ancestors voted for FDR.
On this level, they have incorporated MAGA into their "form" of Christianity.

(652 posts)One cousin was our grandmother's chosen one. He was the only one who mattered. The rest of us could do no good but he could do no wrong. He recently told me, the only time she ever even looked at him with a frown was when he said FDR had been a really good president.
It's not as if he was a right-wing little kid, or even a politically aware little kid. We were all pretty clueless but his status as grandkid no. 1 only ever got even a single frown
because of speaking well of FDR.
If she'd lived to see what a bunch of radical-left, progressive "Socialists" we've all become, I'm pretty sure even Grandkid No. 1 would have lost favor (although he's one of my favorites
)
