I know that states cannot without tax revenue from the federal government due to the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, but there needs to be push back from Blue States, as the Orange Menace is vowing to with hold all federal funds starting February 1, 2026. Lawsuits are not going to cut it this time.
There are so many great ideas from the DU community. Any ideas on this one?

(19,812 posts)After that all those individuals and businesses would still owe what they owe, only now with interest and penalties. Its just a terrible idea that keeps getting repeated because it sounds tough

(4,221 posts)The administration has already been told by the courts they cannot withhold federal funds that have been appropriated by Congress. Do they care if they follow the law? Who cares about the frickin' law anymore?

The courts will prevent Trump from playing these funding games.
