(This is a district Trump carried by 7.5% that Democrats hoped to flip.)
If someone ever tells you that voting doesn't matter please send them this and then urge them to vote in every single election.
Also imagine if just a few more people chose to volunteer for Sonja Satani and chose to phonebank and canvas. Maybe she could have won.
With that said though she had a great showing considering how much Trump won that district so I'm very proud of everyone who did volunteer and who voted for her.
Remember: always vote and volunteer.

(11,872 posts)DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) Following Friday's recount, Republican Greg Ford was declared the official winner of the District 98 special election.
The vote totals remained unchanged after the state-mandated recount as Ford won by less than one percentage point 21 total votes. There were a total of five write-in votes in the race.
In beating out Democrat Sonja Ogletree Satani, Ford will serve out the remainder of retired Republican State Rep. Chris Murphy's term. He had represented the district since 2010 and left office on Jan. 5.
