Can't he do this performative vote and say something as clear as AOC?
Can't he do both?
People, voters, do not pay attention to votes like this. They want to hear the Democrats fighting against Trump. It is the only way to win in November.

We know that AOC is more charismatic than Jeffries.
But this vote is not for nothing. It needs to be on the record what the Dems are for and what the Republicans are voting down.
If we sit on our hands because we think we're going to lose we get no credit for our position no matter how many interviews we do on the steps of the capitol.

And over half of that is to build these detention centers.

Do the math. ICE is getting 34% more money than the money Congress slashed from ACA. The ACA cuts are LITERALLY funding all this gestapo business.
