Question: Do Cubans in the US have different rules

than other immigrants? If so, where can I find them? Asking for a friend. I don't want to reveal more in a public forum. Thanks in advance.

I didn't know whether to post this in General Discussion or Florida. I decided to ask in one of the largest forums for advise.

then CASTRO overthrew the Mob and wingnut dictator BATISTA but then turned Red from his personal grievances and displaced the BATISTA class of sugar plantation and overlords, who then got regarded as pro-"freedom" (yet not synonymous with pro-"democracy" ). So the first wave of Exiles were received as patriots for freedom (confused with democracy) and got the perks and exemptions that other immigrants/refugees/Hispanics did not get.

As others said above, the exceptions/perks were codified and their heritage of Rightwing dictatorship put them in the Repuke column under the cover of conflating the Democratic Party with "socialism" in their shorthand. But this anti-Democratic bent got solidified when they conceived hatred for JFK because of the Bay of Pigs, and extrapolating to the whole Party as "socialist" in social services programs.

Results show: The Exiles took significant control in Florida, and with their "head start" advantage of perks now have two Senators besides whatever local offices, two Presidential candidates - zilch for other Hispanics.

*** I'm talking here in generalizations and impressions, welcoming corrections of facts - civilly, haha.

The *rational* way to do immigration was the Bracero program of 1942 which, because of WW II labor shortages here, brought in laborers from (Mexico, only?) for specified periods, with documentation, then eventually returning home.
