X & some text- Dave Matthews takes a walk and shares some thoughts. (Good watch)

Dave Matthews: “I don’t want my taxes to pay for ICE masked thugs to roam our streets and terrorize our communities. Renee Nicole Good, murdered in the streets. He shot her three times in the head. Murdered in cold blood. These people are trying to tell us not to believe what we see. Fuck ICE”

I always liked him and his band. My kids loved him but were too young to go to a concert by themselves so I would always take them and friends and grew to like them as well.

Thanks for this. Glad they are still going. Music and musicians have a lot of influence if they care to. I hope to hear Dave more.

His band played at a club called The Flood Zone in Richmond every Wednesday night. They are from Charlottesville an hour away. This was in the 90’s when they were selling tapes out if the back of their van. I never went and saw them and I regret it.

They were fun and it was fun that my kids were too young to get there or get in without a parent so I would gather up a few of their friends and we went. I still have a particularly artistic poster of theirs hanging in the tack room of my barn. I just like it. They were a fun group to see, I wish you had been able to too. That is just how it goes but boy those misses can build up.

And he was tending bar at Miller's. We were at a camp at University of Virginia and were able go out in groups. A few of us were trying to find places to serve us. 16 yr old me saw him and begged the group to stay because his look was exactly what I was into.

Looking back I've realized maybe I need to listen to the 16 yr old buried in me because she sensed he was good people.
