Been getting quite a few. Block & report as spam.
Dont think I am alone in this. If you are a nonprofit , the main way you can be assured that I Will never give you a fing dime is to make unsolicited phone calls to me. Apparently nonprofits are exempt from the do not call list.

(4,253 posts)person on the line what their exact corporate name and their EIN or TIN number is. Then hang up and look up the EIN or TIN on the IRS website for charities to determine their legitimacy. If the charity has been approved by the IRS as a legitimate charitable org. they might have a web site and the EIN or TIN must be on the web site. If not, call or email the charity and ask. Also there are a few non-IRS agencies that monitor the behavior and legitimacy of non profits that can verify the charity's existence as well.
I suggest donating directly to the charity, although there are some charities that seek donations on behalf of other charities, and that is legal, but I wouldn't do it.
