Minnesota is now being treated as if we were a hostile foreign country

subject to occupation and conquest. Now it looks like something similar is happening in Oregon. Is it civil war when the federal government treats a state as an enemy?

Doubt if The GOP wants to “heal” Minnesota, unless that means throw out (or jail?) all Democrats.

4. State oppression. State being the federal government. All autocratic regimes do it.

They're mainly coming after blue states, especially blue states they feel have defied them and their beliefs. That they see as liberal bastions that can't be tolerated.

Trump (and Miller and the rest) are still mad about protests after the murder of George Floyd. Still mad about BLM. Still mad Chauvin was convicted.

Portland is viewed as the enemy as well. As is the District of Columbia.

The citizens and founders at the time were concerned that a president of the United States as Commander in Chief of a standing militia might abuse his power and attempt to invade a state against the will of its citizens, acting as a tyrant. It was decided that the Constitution should grant the citizens of a state the right to defend themselves by being armed and to form a "well-regulated militia".

The military is constitutionally barred from domestic invasion until such time that martial law is declared, and thankfully the Supreme Court has decided that the National Guard under command of the president cannot be used for domestic law enforcement. However, Trump has been recklessly using ICE agents to stir the pot to the point that martial law may in fact be declared, while Vance illegally declares that ICE agents have "absolute immunity".

Blue states need to be prepared for the time, if and when, they become treated as hostile foreign countries, and act accordingly under the Constitution. Trump is taking the position that he has absolute power, limited only by his own failed morality. We know that TACO will always back down when there is sufficient push back and readying for such a defense is the ultimate way to push back.
