PA-GOV: Shapiro touts more than $30M in bank to start 2026

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) is starting 2026 in a strong financial position as speculation grows that he’s considering a presidential bid.

Shapiro’s campaign said the governor had raised over $10 million between October and December 2025, hauling in more than $23 million in the last year altogether. All together, he has more than $30 million in the bank, according to his campaign.

He received contributions from each of the state’s 67 counties and all 50 states.

His campaign touted the fact that Shapiro “raised and the highest ending cash balance during the off-year ahead of an election of any Pennsylvania gubernatorial campaign on record.”

Racking up a big reelection victory in one one the most critical presidential swing states wouldn't be a bad credential tritsofme Tuesday #7

and I still won't vote for him in the primary. IF he were to win to nomination, which I consider highly unlikely, I would vote for him against any GQPper. But he proved his mettle in his comments and actions re: Kamala, both during and after the campaign. Besides we need a fighter, not a money gatherer, and Newsome, Kelly and Pritzger, along with others are far more suited for the moment.
