How is removing Nicolas Maduro and leaving Delcy Rodriguez?

Different than removing Adolf Hitler and leaving Hermann Goring?

1. Hermann Goering was an OSS deep cover asset.

or

2. We really did not care that Goering was a Nazi... he was just going to be OUR Nazi.

( using the analogy to the extreme, fortunately we were all "antifa" in WW2 ).

Rodriguez was just as dirty as Maduro.

My guess is that she was the mole for Krasnov, gave him the details about where Maduro was hiding.

My guess is that she was willing to work an oil deal with Krasnov but Maduro was not.

Remember that when we invaded Venezuela, Rodriguez took a flight to Russia.

The crony administration is still in power.

5. It tells us that regime change was never the goal since the regime remains in place.

It was a performative decapitation that will have no appreciable effect on the way Venezuela is governed. Rodriguez will be under great pressure to allow the US to control Venezuela's oil production, and as long as that deal is made the current officials will keep their jobs. Trump doesn't want to install or support the opposition party led by Machado.

and by extension, the world's billionaire class (especially a leader that leans remotely left) that their ass may be hauled off to a US prison at any moment in similar fashion to Maduro.

He really is that much of greedy tyrant.

That, and he wanted to punish Machado for not demanding Trump receive the Nobel in her stead. What better way to do than by taking out Maduro, and but then going "yeah, no I'm not helping YOU get into power, because you stole MY Nobel!"

He really is that fucking petty.

OH, and he also probably believes Sydney Powell's CT about how Venezuela (I believe she blamed Hugo Chavez somehow ) stole the election from him in 2020.

He really is that fucking dumb.
