Trump threatened Colombia and its president, Gustavo Petro, on Sunday night, saying it is run by a sick man who likes making cocaine and selling it to the United States.
Hes not going to be doing it for very long, Trump told reporters on Air Force One. He has cocaine mills and cocaine factories. Hes not going to be doing it. Asked whether the U.S. would conduct an operation against Colombia, he said it sounds good to me.

He's apparently high on the attention he's getting form abducting Maduro and contemplating expanding beyond the borders of Venezuela.
They don't have oil, however. I'm guessing they're safe?

(20,493 posts)11. Colombia is roughly the same size as Venezuela but has twice the population
Perhaps more to the point, the capital is much further inland than Venezuela's capital. An operation like the one that kidnapped Maduro would be that much harder, I would think.

(1,093 posts)16. This is a much larger issue than Venezuela. Colombia standard of living
And relative safety have greatly improved over the last 10 years. The people wouldnt stand for actions against it. Venezuela has become virtually unlivable and dangerous over the last 20 years. Maduro out will be welcomed. Colombia is completely different.
