When my elected show up on social media, theyʻre swarmed by negative comments and some bots. How to safely respond?

We live in a blue state, and Iʻm sure most people here disagree, but responses are muted because who wants to comment with your real name, put your business in the very nasty sights of these extremists and bots?

How do you stand up for the good guys safely?

"Diplomatic" is the adjective I would go for, as a start.

The MAGA people often don't have lengthy memories. You might dig up the past (such as Iran Contra) and say "such and such happened before. I don't want that to happen again because (something bad) is still with us." (this avoids blame game and is food for thought for everyone.)

Stay off of twitter. a cesspool.

I'm sure it could be traced if somebody was determined, but I figure it makes me somewhat less likely to be doxed. It's close enough that people who know me can figure it out.

One of my hobbies is trolling Troy Nehls. I have a lot of company.
