For those here who are falsely claiming that Democrats are not speaking out*

More reaction to Maduro’s “arrest”

Joyce White Vance (@joycewhitevance.bsky.social) 2026-01-03T16:16:00.478Z

Moulton: "When we had briefings on Venezuela, we asked, 'Are you going to invade the country?' We were told no. 'Do you plan to put troops on the ground?' We were told no. 'Do you intend regime change in VZ?' We were told no. So in a sense, we have been briefed, we've just been completely lied to"

No matter what republicans do or don't do, there will be some who will blame Democrats instead of holding republicans accountable.

Clearly some people aren't paying attention. Did they want those Democrats to come and knock on their doors and speak out in person? AND they need to stop blaming Democrats for everything republicans do. Being a Democrat in DC is truly a thankless job.

Democrats have been taking shortcuts to justice for political expediency. One of the latest examples is the Democrats who voted for the Laiken Riley Act, and votes to confirm trump cabinet members. The GOPs turned minority power into this regime by leveraging racism and greed and duped Democrats.

This country is doomed. Justice will come in the elimination of our species.

tearing the administration apart and Moulton was very good on CNN. I liked the framing from Moulton. I hope all Dems echo it. He said trump was willing to spend a billion dollars on taking over a foreign country but not spend that on your healthcare. He emphasized that this does nothing to help Americans and is a direct contradiction of the so called "America first" policy. Hats off to both of them.

Saw it here the other day. Oh right, the Democratic Party is corrupted by billionaires and oligarchs because Pete Buttigieg had an event at a Californian wine cave in 2019.

That's always the big proof, absolutely nothing. And when you can't go after policy because there's little to no difference between what any Democrat or Independent could get done, go after character and pummel Democrats with personal insults and dire predictions of the terrible things they'll do or that they'll do nothing because both sides, etc.

There was much outrage in response to that simple and legitimate question, and it was called "bashing" and "attacking" by the small posse that insists, "You're attacking Democrats if you suggest Democrats are anything other than useless wimps who have no power and no role to play in anything."

But, as the day went on, the very simple and legitimate question of that OP was answered.

The answer is this: Many Democrats did call it an illegal action, and they spoke against it. But some Democrats came out in support of the illegal action, and many Democrats have so far said nothing.

is that when Democrats DO speak out, they’re still then accused of “just writing a strongly worded letter”. There are, unfortunately, too many people who:

A. Think both parties are the same, so what’s the point of voting for Dems?
B. Don’t understand how Congress works and think the minority party has “secret powers” that they’re just purposefully not using for reasons.

In fact, why do you feel a need to refute them at all if their claims are obviously baseless to the great majority here?
