Ole Raisin Kane keeps using language similar to the Saddam Nissan capture? I.e, his compound...it was a presidential palace, goofball!

(2,836 posts)1. The "compound" was the Bin Laden capture
We recovered Saddam after he'd already been captured, IIRC it was the Kurds who bagged him first. There was no palace or compound raided in his capture.
Wrong dictator.,got too p.o.d

(2,836 posts)3. Your general point is still on-track, just that he's trying to one-up Obama/Biden, not Bush
Although I'm sure he'll be bragging about how it goes much more smoothly than Iraq did in the aftermath. Which will nothing to do with anything he personally decided. The M.E. and South America are VERY different, and the US never militarily outfitted Venezuela to fight a proxy war like we did with Hussein vs. Iran, thus the volumes of weapons caches waiting to be seized by rebels won't be there. And you won't have a public largely divided on sectarian lines like the Sunni's and Shi'ites and Kurds. You probably won't have other countries (like Iran) jockeying for control and trying to destabilize the situation.
