The supporters of the intervention in Venezuela can answer this question? (there will be outside of DU most likely)

If Trump has acquired any semblance of some moral center, what the hell is going on of his rhetoric with Zelinsky and Putin? It's completely backwards. And anyone with half a brain knows it.

This is just more shit, but not sure what the angle will be. And that's regardless of outcome.

how do they justify this in light of the pardon of former president of Honduras, for as bad or even far worse narco crimes?

Here’s some information
Besides the current administration bleating about narco-terrorism, there is widespread international agreement that Maduro stole the 2024 election.

Edmundo González was recognized as the true winner of the contested 2024 election by the following countries…
• Peru: First to recognize (Jul 30, 2024).
• Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama: Recognized as president-elect (early Aug 2024).
• Canada: Formal recognition as president-elect (Jan 2025).
• Paraguay: Recognized as president-elect (early Jan 2025).
• Italy: Recognized as president-elect (Nov 2024).
• United States: Recognized as winner (Aug 2024) and president-elect (Nov 2024 onward).
• Others: Partial support from EU Parliament, some Latin American nations; calls for transparency from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico.

Here’s who supported Maduro…
• Russia
• China
• Iran
• Cuba
• Nicaragua,
• North Korea

Here’s some of the accusations against him…

Disputed presidency
Dictatorship accusations
Conspiracy theories
Censorship
Human rights
Judicial independence
Alleged drug trafficking and money laundering incidents
Narcosobrinos incident
Sanctions against Tareck El Aissami and Diosdado Cabello
Homophobic statements
Hunger crisis
Corruption

I agree that the US should stay the fuck out!
Let’s hear what a Venezuelan-American has to say, it’s worth a listen…

he hadn't just pardoned former Honduran president Hernandez, if only there was no oil there, if only the powerful didn't feel the world and its people were there to exploit, if only...damn.

who had actually been convicted in a US court. Now he's killed over 100 people so that he can get hold of an alleged other (and his wife, for some reason). I don't think any DUer will see this as "moral" (there are a few cheering it, because they hate Maduro, but even they won't pretend this was a "moral" act - just a "USA! Tough! Kill!" act - which a few DUers actually like as a concept).
