We just finished a national security council meeting that started at 3 a.m.
Public forces are being deployed at the border, and all the assistance resources we have will be deployed in case of a massive influx of refugees.
The Colombian embassy in Venezuela is active and responding to calls for assistance from Colombians in Venezuela.
As members of the United Nations Security Council, we are seeking to convene the Council.
The government of Colombia rejects the aggression against the sovereignty of Venezuela and Latin America.

(639 posts)in the region expect Trump and the US to be even less popular than Maduro after this bonehead move. I would guess that leaders of other countries in the area will be thinking that if Trump is willing to kidnap the leader of a neighboring nation why would we be any safer. They'll increase their defense spending and preparedness accordingly as they should. Trump is insane.
