Cardinal Timothy Dolan is stepping down as his retirement is mandatory at the age 75.

As a Catholic I respect him for his faith, but I do have an obligation to be critical of his political beliefs. He has been a staunch advocate for what I feel is not separation of church and state. He use the voice to push his views on issues that are more conservative rather than what the church teaches us.

I wish him well in his future retirement.

Pope Leo has named his successor and I hope the new Cardinal will follow his faith rather than his political views.

Story comes from several news outlets.

DOLAN is the remnant of a reason that the Reformation was needed. If only USA could enact a term limit on SCotUS and other (cough cough) inhabitants. And not just age but his cozying with corrupt aholes.
