A week in Turkey.

Here in the opposition area of Turkey. Any long discussion turns towards Trump. Not in a good way. People are relieved that at least some Americans aren't crazy like him. He just makes us tired.

1. We spent a month in Turkey last November. We were there on Election Day and the vibe there matched ours perfectly.

If it's the Turks, tell them DU said iyi günler. If it's the Kurds, tell them DU says Rozh Bazh.

If it's none of the above, just say "howdy, y'all!"

What an absolutely fantastic country! There is much history there; it's a literal crossroads between Europe and Asia!

The people are absolutely lovely as well.

IMO, the EU made a grave political mistake when it did not welcome Turkey (or Türkiye) before the advent of Erdogan!

But the Turks have dealt with despots before and I have no doubt but that they will ultimately foil Erdogan as well.
