(3,993 posts)almost the exact thing you said about trump only he would say it about president Biden.

(59,549 posts)His lifts wouldn't work too well on a bike.
The broken foot was the reason for Biden's stiff gait. One doesn't walk smoothly when the foort doesn't flex as before.

(8,571 posts)I broke a toe some tears ago, For one reason or another, it never healed properly, so I could sympathize with Biden's gait issues despite being a lot younger than him. Even more so when I had a sciatica flare-up last year. In both our cases, the foot injury may have had something to do with our back problem.

(21,675 posts)He had all of the symptoms listed above.
He was dx'd in February and gone in May.
It was a horrible way to go, just horrible!

(1,079 posts)First, he was raised a spoiled brat with a sense of entitlement. The malignant narcissism is a HUGE component of this—he thinks he’s the greatest at everything, never makes mistakes, is smarter than he really is (by probably 100 points), can’t accept criticism, tries to paint everyone as being “against” him or else posing as a saviour, and has an obvious compulsion to fucking LIE about everything, and that’s barely scratching the surface.
Add in his drug use and what is likely tertiary syphilis, as if everything else wasn’t bad enough.
Malignant narcissism alone is an incurable mental illness. He’s never worked an honest day in his life and seems to think he’s entitled to cheat everyone who is stupid enough to work for him.
The guy is a moron, appears to read at a 4th grade level, and seems to be losing his ability to keep a train of thought, even in simple sentences. His vocabulary is increasingly small, even when praising himself.
He’s not just wetting his diapers, he’s shitting himself uncontrollably.
He’s increasingly unable to stand upright or walk normally, and there are countless photos of him leaning forward in a bizarre fashion—a hallmark of frontotemporal dementia.
I’ve transcribed for psychiatrists and have seen many Parkinson’s patients. Tremor or no, I’ll believe it when he starts staring into space, shuffling like he barely remembers how to walk, and drools with his mouth hanging open. I don’t think he’s there, and I’ve not seen complaints of Parkinson’s patients being violent or vindictive. More likely, they’re quite passive and easily led.
IMHO, he’s far past his expiration date and I’ll be really disappointed if he doesn’t stroke out soon and put us all out of our misery.

(20,267 posts)but he won't admit to any of them and he's got a lot of help in hiding them. It's hard to parse out the medical from the psychological. But an underlying medical condition that is progressing might exacerbate the other symptoms.

(21,675 posts)That's all part of it. Very sad really.
Your life is a living hell as you don't know is going on. Nightmares and screaming in your sleep This went on for many years before the diagnosis was made!

(1,222 posts)People who long-term history of using amphetamines have a roughly 60% increase in chances of getting Parkinson's. It seems to be about the release/uptake system of dopamine, which makes sense.

He was in Ireland and was being cared for by THREE people, not just one disabled old wife.
I was preparing to leave this hell hole to get him the care he deserved!
It didn't work out that way as he fell and broke his hip and died not long after that as he failed t recover. He was 85 years old.
Of the ten kids, seven have died with dementia so it is genetic.

Thanks for the
