WTF? How concerned should we be about this invasion?

A message from Dan Bendier, deputy to the chairman and chief operating officer:

Dear Colleagues,
As you are aware, the FDIC leadership team has been working to identify areas in which we could increase efficiency to better serve our constituents and stakeholders. A small team from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is working with us to support these management-led efforts.
The DOGE team consists of full-time federal employees who have received appropriate learances and are working with FDIC management under formal interagency agreements. The DOGE team has neither requested nor been granted access to sensitive bank information.
We look forward to providing more information as it becomes available.

Dan Bendler

"ALEXANDRIA, Va.—The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) entered NCUA headquarters Thursday, CUToday.info has learned.

As CUToday.info has reported, the Trump Administration has charged every government agency with reducing expenses, and has been discussing combining federal regulators. Previously, CUToday.info reported that NCUA may be considering an early retirement program as a means to reduce staff. However, NCUA declined comment. "

NCUA that provides credit union deposit insurance is in same position as FDIC by being a federal insurance agency.
