Judge drops federal corruption charges against Eric Adams permanently

This seems like a big deal. Trump's Dept. of "Justice" wanted the charges against NYC Mayor Eric Adams dismissed without prejudice, meaning that they could reinstate the charges at any time. So, that if Adams didn't cooperate with every whim of Trump's, they had the threat of recharging him (and it seemed like a slam dunk case).

The judge in the case rejected the DOJ's request to dismiss without prejudice and instead dismissed the charges with prejudice, meaning that the charges cannot be revived. I hope Adams gets voted out in a landslide, but it's a good sign that the judge called out the attempt to politically manipulate him and that although he may still be a puppet, Dump won't have that kind of extreme leverage over him.
