U.S. Vice President JD Vance intends to visit Rome during Easter weekend, although the planned trip has not yet been finalized, according to Bloomberg News.

(12,319 posts)But we and other parliamentary systems around the world tend to be stable. Italy has not been known for that so I am surprised she has lasted this long. She may have had to moderate but I just don’t follow it close.

(11,679 posts)This is a Jubilee Year, which is probably why Shady Vance wants to go. To walk through as many magic portals as possible. But, Rome is already super-crowded with tourists/pilgrims. Especially at Easter! The security for him will be a fucking NIGHTMARE!
I'm hoping that, when he visits the Vatican, he accidentally trips going down those long stairs from the Sistine Chapel to St. Peter's Square. Or that lightning hits him.

(60,188 posts)The Pope has been very unhealthy, but it might be hard to say no. Clearly the Pope doesn't agree with Trump's agenda, but I suspect that he will attempt to spin it that way.
