Thousands Protest ICE Abduction of Tufts Student

A Tufts University Ph.D. student has been abducted off a street in Somerville, Massachusetts, and taken to a detention center in Louisiana in defiance of a judicial order that she not be moved out-of-state without prior notice. (Frightening video at the link below.)

“I don’t need you to come to any more rallies. I need you to know your neighbors,” said Fatima Ahmad, executive director of the Muslim Justice League. “There is no more time for these rallies and these marches where you say these things and you go home and you wait for another social media post to tell you to come here. You have to get organized.”

(Among other possibilities, what if pro-Palestinian students and teachers at universities capitulating to the government’s censorship demands, and especially its kidnapping and deportation practices, simply stopped paying tuition to their universities, withdrew, and re-grouped elsewhere – perhaps in public libraries or community centers – and paid their tuition instead directly to their teachers {net of any required fees to venues for the use of their spaces}?)

Generally speaking, “stay and fight” is the best option.

to ask, is anyone being deported for advocating in support of HTS in Syria, which last I knew was Al Quaeda by another name and was still officially considered a terrorist organization? (Answer: nope, because HTS overthrew Assad, so they're good terrorists.)
