(37,583 posts)Jerry rigged the video to have it appear that way. It's how they shove propaganda down the throats of fake Christians.

(75,855 posts)It's like someone sprayed it with fireplace brick cleaner before they shot the video.
That said, if there was enough oxygen being pulled in by the firestorm, the combustion could, theoretically, be complete enough to be very close to soot free.
But, that wouldn't be a miracle. It would be simple chemistry.
Either way, their take is ridiculous.

(21,561 posts)The stupid. It's beyond imagination.
"Our home is dedicated to the sacred heart of Jesus and always has been."
Well, Jesus didn't give a shit about your house, but saved the $50, cheesy CONCRETE statue. Gee, thanks God. Don't knock yourself out with the hard stuff.
These people cant be this stupid. Well maybe This must be just another thing theyre gonna use to grift.

(409 posts)The Roman's saw the female goddess staues and painted over the name with 'Virgin Mary'. This happened with a lot of pagan gods. They just got renamed to saints.
This happened to St Nicholas (i.e. Santa Claus). He was a pagan shaman who would slide into people's homes in the winter with a load of magic mushrooms to be dried over the fireplace.

This fire stuff is God practicing his skills of red lining and gentrification.

(1,769 posts)They would bury a statue of St. Joseph with the head pointed at the house to get a good price on their sale. I kid you not.

(3,415 posts)... there's a weird, smudgey and slightly angled division between the wreckage of the house and the yard. But that's almost immaterial; the real story is the staggering stupidity of the Pox News premise. What's even worse is how many people actually believe this shit.

(22,237 posts)My faith says "Of course it didn't burn it is stone". If the statue burn and the home didn't that would be a miracle.
However if it gives them solace at the loss of their house, I am willing to let them have it. It harms no one.
StarryNite
(11,973 posts)Time will tell. Maybe they can sell the miracle statue on eBay and make enough money to build a new house.
LauraInLA
(2,248 posts)and I will not judge them for something innocuous like this that gives them solace. I especially wont call them stupid this impulse seems to extend beyond the religious to agnostics and atheists. I suspect its a universal impulse to search for something to hold on to.
