The difference in seeing something in writing and hearing it spoken?

I saw a clip where Thom Hartmann read portions of Trump's speech from the other day. It was absolutely insane!

But, when Trump gave the speech, it was different. He delivered it with all the sincerity of a car salesman that is very good at his job. He wanted his listeners to believe that every word was true, when in fact, almost every word was a lie. But he is a master propagandist, an expert liar, and a bully that would attack anyone that dare to challenge him.

He believes in his ability to get others to believe. So far, it has worked for him.

But when the words are read, rather than delivered with all the pained sincerity and victimhood one could possibly muster, then it has different meaning.

It is insane and unbelievable.

Trump has succeeded because he is a tremendously skilled bullshit artist. It's a true gift. No one else in the Republican party can sway and convince MAGA rubes to hate others and vote against their own interests like Trump can.
