He knows he hurts people but he thinks it's okay, just doing business, "everybody does it", what's the big deal, they are just weak unless they are his oppressed white male supporters. There is a component of his legal defenses where you can see him driving it from a stand of "What I do? What I do?" He is evil because he lets himself be used by people he is using for his purposes. He is evil because he wields great power all directed for self-aggrandizement and knows he's irresponsible and doesn't care.
