THREAD: The SAVE Act A Bill Designed to Suppress Millions of Voters
The SAVE Acts burdens are extreme. Under this bill, most Americans wouldnt be able to register to vote using their drivers license or state-provided ID alone. Heres why this fascist bill is a voter suppression tool. 🧵1

voter suppression? I remember when we had to show an ID and voting was one day.

the name on your birth certificate so married women who take their husband's name, or trans people who change their name, or immigrants who may not have a birth certificate or americanized their name(s), these people are all in trouble.

(3,230 posts)3. I've changed my name a
couple of times and always manage to vote. A few years back when I was divorcing I chose to keep my married name. When I got my license in another state, I had my bc, divorce agreement and SS card. I never missed a vote

Your license would not be enough under this act.

It gets presented to the Town hall prior to voting. I only had to bring my id when I voted
