And here I thought our damned hurricane season this year was the ultimate BS. (Both our cars are out of commission—one from driving through high water that couldn’t be avoided, ruining the clutch, and the other with the roof smashed in by a big-arsed tree, plus our landlord decided afterward that he would be selling our house to avoid future catastrophes and there is NOTHING affordable in Sarasota anymore, so massive stress for the last two months as we struggled to find ANYTHING at all.)

Now I see the wisdom of never asking how much worse things can get because California is certainly finding out now. Horrific.

into Brentwood. They have a huge tanker dropping fire retardant on it, trying to stop its progress. But it looks like it will be so hard to stop this, especially if the winds surge tonight. It's really sad.
