'Morning Joe' Meltdown as Michael Steele Slams Joe & Mika Over Trump

Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are getting fresh backlash over their controversial meeting with President-elect Donald Trump in November, this time directly from one of their own regular guests.

On Friday’s (January 10) episode of the MSNBC news program, former chairman of the Republic National Committee, Michael Steele, challenged the hosts on their argument that people should “be civil” to Trump as he prepares to return to the White House later this month.

Steele, who serves as a co-host on MSNBC’s The Weekend, tried to make his point only to be talked over by Scarborough, who clearly took issue with what his co-worker had to say.

“Joe, you had your moment; let me just finish my point,” Steele said. “I’m telling you something you seem to forget, so let me make my point. You may not like it, but I’m going to make it.”

As I was watching I couldn’t help but wonder if Michael Steele now has more political capital to take them on. His weekend show with Alicia and Symone is a hit. I would love to see the three of them take over the the Morning Joe slot. I also think Joe knows it too. That’s why he was so obnoxious constantly interrupting Michael. He sees him as a threat.

I was watching MJ when this conversation took place. Joe can’t help himself. He interrupts every guest and especially Mika. He’s downright rude. I thought Micheal Steele had the best of him, however.

God bless Michael Steele.

Joe's fallback position nowadays is to argue that people who participate in social media are unserious and, as he said weeks ago, "stupid." He's a total failure.

Joe Scarborough is so phony, so inauthentic, so insincere and so washed up. He rea

Thanks for posting this! I hope this will be discussed.

It’s because Joe knows he’s wrong and has been called out on it. Joe mistakes volume for veracity, his loud bellowing makes him look like a weak bully who can’t handle being wrong, or disagreed with

Good for Steele standing up to the bully.

I stopped watching the show some time ago. Joe & Mika kissing up to Trump is disgusting and not worth my time.

I haven't watched any of it for over 2 months and don't intend to watch any shows going forward, so it's good to see Michael Steele talking up like that. I had been wondering how much criticism in general Joe and Mika had gotten from their various guests after The "Visit"

I knew that most people would side with Michael Steele.

He’s high on my list of Republicans who have redeemed themselves, which includes David Jolly, Anna Navarro, Nicole Wallace, Adam Kinzinger and others. Joe Scarborough, not so much.

I’m sure he’s demanding from the higher ups that Steele be fired, pronto. Keith Olbermann has had Scarborough’s number for a long time. If anything, that morning show should be called Morning Mike, maybe I’d start watching again.

What's more surprising is seeing BOTH Joe & Mica in the STUDIO, presumably LIVE on a Friday withing 3 weeks of a Holiday!

My dilemma is which Republican do I think won? I’ll pick Steele.

And don’t come at me with, “ They’re not Republicans anymore.” Once a Republican, always a republican. That’s my only similarity to an elephant I don’t forget
