We, as a country, are now openly hostile to our friends, allies and trading partners. We as citizens have shown that the majority of us that voted, 77 million, are clearly incompetent and cruel people that seek violence.
This asshole hasn't even taken office yet and he has already said he would invade Canada, Mexico, Denmark (by way of Greenland) and eLoon has stated we may need to "free" the UK and Germany from oppressive governments. We also clearly intend to abandon Ukraine.
Both France and Germany have clearly implied that invasion of Greenland would trigger Article 5 of the NATO treaty.
I think it's safe to say we have poisoned our relationships with our allies and friends in a way that we likely will never recover from. We have now proven we are an unstable and violent country that has voted a crazy person back into office.
TSF hasn't even taken office and he has already done more for Putin than he could have ever expected in his wildest dreams.
We will be all alone. We will never have their trust again.

(67,214 posts)He has managed to get the US GOP to align with him against their own country and people.
Their greed and desire for power is insatiable.
They are only too happy to sell us all down the river.
And Putin has taken over without firing a shot.

(67,214 posts)I used to live next door to a wonderful Japanese family.
She said the rest of the world knows how bad the American schools are.
And she had to enroll her son in two additional schools, one before school and one after school
just so he could keep up with his Japanese counterparts when they returned to Japan.
Yes Putin taking over the US was like taking candy from a baby.

He meant he would destroy the entire US.
Russia finally achieved their goal.

(32,820 posts)I expect to lose all my money that is in the stock market, and when I talk about moving it I keep hearing that is a mistake, so dont know what to do. Not a lot of money but is all we have.
Things are going to get very bad very quickly.
Merrick Garland is to blame in some ways as are the voters. I still cant understand 10 million people who showed up to vote for Joe in 2020 not showing up in 2024 in effect saying there is no urgent reason to vote. Either the election was tampered with OR WORSE we really do have a stupid electorate which means there is NO REASON to think that even if we survive somehow that we will elect adults who are not criminals, WE WONT.
It's over folks.

(2,400 posts)What he has done but our so called "justice" system allowing him to walk away from his convictions with no real consequences says a lot about our entire government.

(8,210 posts)They would lose badly in Canada as they did long ago. And who in the army will do that if it ever did come to that. You don’t invade allies who have not attacked you, etc.
Whatever else is going to happen. we will find out. I’m just hoping nature takes it’s course soon.
