They raked Al gore over the coals for boasting and supposedly lying about his extensive early contributions to the internet, then voted for the biggest braggart and most thoroughly documented liar in history.

If the media still had any hint of journalistic integrity, they would recognize this and largely deny them airtime. Instead, they let republicans determine the issues, the framing, the catch-phrases, and basically the whole story.
